Just so visitors know... we have NOT been sitting idle...
SG-16 has had meetings and events... We attended Polaris21
(TT21 if you will)... we have a 2/3 scale Stargate in the
works (or rather Styrofoam-Guy does) and a full size DHD...
and more planned... but we need ACTIVE members... and even
better might be some people not only willing to be involved
but are willing to take charge sometimes, so that there is
more for everyone to do... Looking forward to meeting you
soon!
Daniel... current team leader for SG-16...
(I know... I need to update the gallery... I am so
forgetful!) |

SFX was better then expected for many, and disappointing for
others... But the Actors from Stargate did NOT
disappoint at all!
MORENA BACCARIN; Adria of Stargate SG-1
ROBERT PICARDO; Richard Woolsey of Stargate : Atlantis
PAUL McGILLION; Dr. Carson Beckett of Stargate : Atlantis
DAVID WINNING... Director of Stargate: Atlantis - Childhood's
End (2004)
All three were fantastic to meet and we thank them for their
hard work and time in doing what they do, in which we get so
much enjoyment!

Super happy fun day Codename: Victoria Day Madness
When: Victoria Day Weekend (Vic day is May 22nd)
Where: Ottawa
Places up for consideration are:
Midway
family fun park *a few minutes from St. Laurent shopping
center*
Midway has several arcade games, bumper cars, ski ball, DDR,
mini golf, two lanes of bowling, air hockey, and tons of
ticket games. There's even an in house restaurant that has
pizza, burgers, and slush puppies. A good time can be had by
all for about $15 including a burger.
Cyberdome *St. Laurent shopping center*
Cyberdome has pool tables, some VR games, motion simulators,
laser tag, and a few Unreal booths. The restaurant isn't all
that great. Just to enjoy yourself you need at least $10 to
put on a card, and the games are pricey.
Laser quest *near midway*
Well, it's about $7.50 per person, but, if we have a group of
18 or more, we can get a package deal, triple threat which is
3 games for $400, which gives us the entire arena to
ourselves, and they can change the game parameters to team
matches, etc.
Museum of Science and technology *near midway*
Admission is like $8-9 but the displays are wicked, trains,
agricultural technology, space, the crazy kitchen, and, if
still have it, a motion simulator ride having to do with Mars.
Which is another $8 or so.
The gift shop has goodies like freeze-dried ice cream,
strawberries, science kits, toys, and make your own root beer
kits.
Museum of
nature
They have a lot of stuff in that castle, but it's fun, lots of
cool exhibits.
Farmer's market *Down town*
Get some good deals on home made stuff, maple products, art,
food.
History museum *down town-ish*
There's a new war museum. The old one had Hitler's staff car
on display, complete with the bullet holes in the windshield
from allied soldiers testing the "bullet proof" glass.
Parliament Hill *down town* (Links to the "The Hill CAM" -
Wave to us!)
The centennial flame, the various buildings, makes you wonder
how the idiots keep getting elected. lol
War memorial/tomb
of the unknown soldier *near parliament hill and a tourist
hot spot*
Who is the unknown soldier? We will never know, however
pausing momentarily to pay our respects is a cool group
activity.
Wave pool
Uhhh, it's a pool, with waves. There's also a hot tub, but be
warned, the monsters who inhabit the wave pool are deadlier
then the Goa'uld.
Museum of civilization *A cool place* Lots of art and
displays here, even a suit of armour on a motorcycle, can you
say classy? Hell yes!
And don't forget our
